M Kids – HAPPY HOME:

MVM undertakes the responsibility of providing lodging and good education facilities to the children of the missionaries by running a home for the children called ‘Happy Home’. One in Shalom centre, Yavatmal and the newly established one at Amravati which is being developed as the main K- kids Home for schooling as well as for higher studies.

ENGLISH SCHOOLS:

Three English medium schools “Shalom” in Yavatmal District, “Navajeevan” in Nagpur District, and “Agape” in Chandrapur District are run for the children of farmers and agricultural laborers. Being the only English Medium School that is run in these areas impart value-based education for shaping a better future for the students. The fees structure is made in such a way that is affordable. We believe in not only teaching reading and writing but in a creative study pattern mapped out for these children.

OASIS GIRLS’ HOME:

A Home called ‘Oasis Girls Home’ for the children who are deprived of education and parental care is run in partnership with IndienHilfe in Nagpur. At present there are Fifty Girls from age Eight to Seventeen mostly from a tribal background from our mission fields. The utmost care is taken and given so as to mould their lives in the likeness of Jesus Christ. They are housed in Lonkhairi, Nagpur and attend a good School, good care is given to their education, food, clothing and spiritual well being.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT:

While ministering among the various ethnic groups, MVM realized the need to work towards their social upliftment. Hence in partnership with other organization MVM undertook various development programmes such as adult literacy, social awareness, self-employment, health and hygiene. Relief work is also done whenever the need arises. Presently development work is carried out focusing on the Kolams of Yavatmal District who are still socially ostracized.
